Day 13 The first page of a new sketchbook. :)

For this drawing everyday project I am trying something new, an idea from the wonderful artist Mindy Lacefield. I have been studying Mindy's classes for a while, I love her childlike sweet art and have taken on board lots of tips and new ways of working from the classes. The idea is to have a more 'finished pieces' sketchbook where I take ideas from a more sketchy line drawing sketchbook and create a mixed media piece inspired by the line drawings. The painting are still practise pieces, just a bit more finished and then I could even take these into Photoshop and finish them further, it is just a way to push a sketchbook practise further. It is terrific to be painting again.
