Day 15 Christmas card sketch

Being a self taught children's book illustrator has led me to search alternative ways of study. I am currently taking a 3 month mentorship to help improve my drawing in general and create some new portfolio pieces.

I am creating art for two projects. One is a fairytale spread and cover for The Snow Queen by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. It was first published 21 December 1844 in New Fairy Tales.

The other project is for licensing, in particular Christmas cards. I choose to work on Christmas themed art because I don't have many pieces in the portfolio. I would love to collab with a publisher to create a Christmas book. Here is a sketch idea for one of the Christmas cards.
